Is the extermination safe for children?
Yes. Insecticides used by Rusty's Pest Contol all meet and exceed rigid requirements required by the state of Florida as well as our own professional associations. Rusty is a member of the Florida Pest Management Association and complies with their regulations as well as those the state enforces. Rusty takes special care to make sure that he uses the safest products available, as long as they are reliable and effective. For example, his preferred termite system—the Advance® Termite Bait System—is in an enclosed, underground container that children (and pets) cannot access. It is important to note, though, that some products may cause reactions in people with an existing breathing disorder or similar medical problem. You should let your pest control professional know about this condition before beginning any pest management program and contact your doctor to see if the condition would be affected.

Is it safe for pets?
Yes. The same requirements that make our products safe for humans also ensure their safety for animals.

Should we vacate the home during treatment?
There is no need to vacate the home during treatment. Since our products will not put you at risk, you should feel at ease remaining in your home. However, as mentioned in the first answer, some products may cause reactions in people with an existing breathing disorder or similar medical problem. You should let your pest control professional know about this condition before beginning any pest management program and contact your doctor to see if the condition would be affected.
